Deep Roots
As a child, I was always interested in metaphysical and medicinal healing. Although it took a while to figure out what to call my compulsion to heal my friends' cuts and bruises with the native plants of coastal North Carolina, it has become my true path in life. In 2013, I started my formal study of herbal medicine, Reiki and other healing arts. I participated in workshops at a Living Foods institution to learn more about how plants and herbs in the raw form can heal us. I studied yoga and self-awareness at a Vishnu Forest Academy then left the ashram to travel in South America where I stayed with tribes and studied their remedies and Care Living hands-on in what some would call a Permaculture Society.
My mission is to continue to travel and branch out with purpose - to discover more of the ancient wisdom that has provided generations of humans with natural remedies for healing. This is my way to express my gratitude to our ancestors - to continue using the plants and knowledge they left for us, much of which has been forgotten or obscured by our modern lifestyle. All medicine is made from plants broken down into their active components - the main difference with mine is that I use the plant in full form so that all its aspects and healing properties remain intact.
I started making these products when my grandmother was enduring radiation treatments for cancer. I wanted to use my knowledge of herbal medicine and Reiki to create something that would not interfere with her medications but help reduce the burns and pain those conventional treatments caused. Word spread, and soon friends and family started to reach out, asking if I could create a product for themselves or their children. Your skin is your largest organ, and each of these products is crafted with the best time-tested, all-natural ingredients to help you nurture the beautiful skin you're in.
